The Houses
The Mukima Ridge houses are stone-built in a modern colonial style: low bungalows with oversized verandas, offering maximum visibility of the panoramic views from sunrise to sunset. Here you can enjoy the huge vista of African mountains and plains, together with the convenience of local amenities.
Designed by Leslie Duckworth, creative talent behind the Kizingoni Villas in Lamu, the homesteads provide generous living and entertainment rooms with spectacular views. In addition, each plot has a guesthouse with two ensuite bedrooms, that could also be converted into a one-bedroom unit with lounge and kitchen. A three-bedroom staff house, with store and generator room, completes the plan.
Mukima Ridge is entirely surrounded by a patrolled electric fence. Each house stands on its own freehold 13 to 15 acre plot, carefully planted and landscaped to offer maximum privacy with minimum obstruction of the breathtaking views. An on-site borehole supplies metered water and each house is connected to KPLC mains power.
The Mukima Ridge houses are stone built using a combination of local materials and designs. Using the best available fittings and fixtures and the highest quality of finishes, our houses provide you with a modern fitted kitchen, cypress wooden floors and internal doors, metal casement exterior windows and doors, high quality fixtures and fittings and individually designed fireplaces.
